The efforts of the European Space Agency (ESA) were definetely noticed, especially in the European region, as the Thursday, May 18 is fastly approaching with the session on Colonisation of Outer Space in the General Assembly.

European countries took the initiative in their hands and invited all those devoted to the work of ESA to an informal meeting. This regional cooperation that took a step further was in a big dimension seen today at the Faculty of Social Sciences, where most of the European countries have gathered, alongside with Israel, Canada, Australia and two South American countries – Brazil and Chile.
The main topics of the discussion were focused on the exploration of outer space for scientific and peaceful purposes, prevetion of arms race in the space and to even further incorporate the dimension of space in developing and maintaining cooperation among nations. They have called for the states non-parties to join them on this endeavour.
A lot of discussion was centered on the importance of using the tourism in the exploration of the unearthly ground – such as the moon. Giving the people a feeling space is not that far away, and to tell us all once again – sky is not the limit.
A source has also told us that a draft proposal is already being written with Brazil, Germany, Turkey and Sweden being the signatories.
