Meet the Crew
Maša Recek is a passionate representative of creation of more rigorous environmental regime, dedicated advocate of space colonization and a supporter of diversity management in its broadest term. She has been a strong advocate for human rights in the past 20 years, closely watching and promoting the acceptance of and respect for various racial, cultural, societal, geographic, economic and political groups. From the 1930's the countries have been trying to address the problem of building space settlements and a regime that will closely monitor the exploration of space, through which the space movement seeks the betterment of humanity and a greater future for all, not only for the great powers. At the moment she is watchfully preparing herself on the General Assembly 2017, where she will be closely following the topic of Colonisation of outer space and diversity management. Cherishes free time that is often dedicated to spending time with animals and people close to her, challenging herself in new activities or getting lost in the beautiful nature of Slovenia.
Valentina Vodopivec believes in nature from an early age and loves everything that is connected with it. She knows this passion about the environment will be a part of her, for the rest of her life. After finishing high school she decided to study International Relations that gave her some basics for understanding environmental issues in the international community. During the study, the mysterious “seventh continent” attracted her attention and she started with depth research of Antarctica, focusing on issues associated mostly with climate changes. Today she is working as journalist at specialized for international environmental issues and the role of states as crucial actors in this topic. Her area of research is currently connected with Antarctic Treaty System, Antarctic as common heritage of mankind and the new potential sharing of its territory to the states that had made territorial claims to its land.
